The question of “How a single honest Minister makes a difference can best be answered by the example of Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan. Total 92 passport offices were set up in last 69 years of Pakistan, but 74 new passport offices have been established under the ministership of Ch Nisar in just over one year. Before Ch Nisar took over this Ministry, Pakistan faced the worst crisis of passport issuance under the Ministry of Rehman Malik. Entire country went into an emergency situation that nobody could get the passport after months of delay. People were missing vital timing of travelling abroad. Today, passport is issued in a few days. A new executive passport office has been opened for those who seek VIP treatment by paying a higher fee in Islamabad. Nisar Ali Khan promised to open passport office in every city of Pakistan.
