ملک کے اندر ہو یا بیرون ملک، عزت اور عظمت کمائی جاتی رہی ہیں اور کمائی جاتی رہیں گی۔ایوب خان نے یہ عزت اور وقار دونوں حاصل کئے اور پاکستان کو قابل فخر ملک بنایا۔جیسے ہی ہم نے قیادت کے انتخاب کے لئے ایوب خان سے رو گردانی کرکے بھٹوؤوں، شریفوں اور زرداریوں کی طرف قبلہ رو ہوئے توہم نے عزت اور وقار کو کھو دیا۔ایک باعزت ملک کو بدنام زمانہ ترین ملک بنانے پرہم کسی اور کو مورد الزام قرار دینے کی بجائے اپنے گریبان میں کیوں نہ جھانکیں؟ہم اس حد تک گر گئے ہیں کہ یہ تک فراموش کر بیٹھے ہیں کہ ایوب خان کے دور میں ملنے والی توقیرکو یاد ہی کر لیں۔ہم اپنی تاریخ کے درست ابواب کے انتخاب میں بھی کوتاہی کے مرتکب ہو رہے ہیں۔ہمارےتخیلات منجمد ، ہماری دانش باہر سے لائی ہوئی اور ہماری سوجھ بوجھ ناقص ہے۔شاید تاریخ کی رو گردانی کی بجائے تاریخ کامطالعہ کرنے میں اس کا حل پوشیدہ ہے۔

Honour & Respect were and are always earned whether in country or abroad. Ayub Khan earned them and made Pakistan a proud country.
Once our choice of leadership changed from Ayub Khan to Bhuttos, Sharifs, Zardaris and Musharrafs, we lost our honour with the new choice. Why to blame anyone but ourselves for turning a top honourable country to one of the worst reputed country in the world. Such a disgrace we have fallen, we even can’t remember or greet the lost honour we once had under Ayub Khan. We are even bad in picking right chapters of our history. Our vision is blocked, our analytics are imported, our understanding is poor. Perhaps solution lies in reading history rather than assuming history.
