A two-day media training organized by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for Punjab based Regional Election Commissioners (RECs).
Additional Director General (Public Relations Wing) Surraiya Jamal and renowned journalist Shaukat Paracha were the primary trainers of the workshop.
A total of nine regional election commissioners and public relation officers from the office of provincial election commissioner Punjab participated in the training.
The purpose of the training was to enhance media related skills of the ECP officers and increase awareness about the media being a key stakeholder in the election process. All logistical assistance to conduct the training was provided by UNDP.
