سنگا پور اور پاکستان دو قومیں یکساں صورت حال
ایک نے قانون کی بالادستی کا راستہ اختیار کیا اوردوسرے نے مفاہمت کو اپنایا

سنگاپور کی آزادی کے بعد وہاں کام کرنے والے دو انڈونیشی کمانڈوز نے سنگاپور کے تین شہریوں کو قتل کر دیا۔انڈونیشیا نے دھمکیوں اور فوجی قوت کا ہوّا دکھا کر ان کمانڈوز کی رہائی کے لئے سنگا پور پر دباؤ ڈالا۔لی کوان نے کہا کہ ہم کمزور اور چھوٹی قوم ضرور ہیں ۔اگر ہم پیچھے ہٹ گئے تو اندرون ملک اور سنگاپور کے پڑوسی ممالک کے درمیان قانون کی بالادستی بے معنی ہو کر رہ جائے گی اور ہمیں آئے دن دباؤ کا سامنا رہے گا۔اس لئے ہم نے فیصلہ کیا ہے کہ دباؤ کا سامنا کرتے ہوئے قانونی کاروائی سے پیچھے نہیں ہٹیں گے۔دونوں انڈونیشی باشندوں کو سولی پر لٹکا دیاگیا۔اس وقت نہ سنگاپور کی باقاعدہ فوج تھی ،نہ نیوی اور نہ ہی ایئر فورس پھر بھی اس کی قیادت نے قانون کی بالادستی کا ساتھ دیتے ہوئے ایک عظیم الشان قوم کی بنیاد ڈالی۔
:پاکستان
ایک امریکی شہری ریمنڈ ڈیوس نے دن دیہاڑے پاکستانی شہریوں کو قتل کر دیا۔وہ سی آئی اے کا ایجنٹ تھا ۔ وہ نہ سفارت کار تھا نہ اسے سفارتی استثنیٰ حاصل تھا مگر ہماری بہادر حکومت بشمول صدر زرداری، وزیراعظم گیلانی اور آرمی چیف جنرل کیانی نے امریکی دباؤ کے سامنے ہاتھ کھڑے کر دئیے۔ریمنڈ ڈیوس رہا ہوا اور ہماری سیکورٹی ایجنسیوں کی چھتری میں باہر پرواز کر گیا۔ ایٹمی قوت کے علم بردار ملک جس کے پاس دنیا کی پانچویں بڑی فوج، مضبوط فضائیہ اور نیوی موجود ہے وہ امریکی دباؤ کے سامنے نہ ٹھہر سکا۔معصوم پاکستانی شہریوں کےقاتل ریمنڈ ڈیوس کو رہا کردیا گیا اوراسے ملک چھوڑنے کی اجازت دے دی گئی جو جاتے جاتے ہمارے ملک کی سلامتی اور وقار پر سیاہ دھبہ لگا کر چھوڑ گیا۔
قومیں بڑی فوج کی بنیاد پر بڑے چیلنجوں کا مقابلہ نہیں کرتیں بلکہ وہ احساس عزت، مضبوط قوت ارادی اور پختہ ایمان کی وجہ سے قائم رہتی ہیں۔
یہی فرق ہے سنگا پور اور پاکستان کی قیادت میں۔یہ فرق ہے عزت اور ذلت میں،یہ فرق ہے وقار اور بے وقعتی میں۔
Two nations, Similar Situation, one opted rule of law, one opted rule of compromise – Singapore and Pakistan.

Singapore:
When two Indonesian commandos who were serving in Singapore killed three Singaporean civilians just three years after singapore’ independence. Indonesia put pressure on singapore to release them by displaying military power and threats of boycotting trade. Lee Kuan said ” We were weak and small. If we yielded, then the rule of law not only within singapore but between our neighbours and Singapore would become meaningless as we would always be open to pressure. So we decided to not to abort the due process of law by acceding to pressure. The two Indonesians were hanged. Singapore was hardly prepared with a regular Army, Air Force or Navy at that time, yet a strong leadership set the foundation of a great nation by taking stand for rule of law.
Pakistan:
American Reymond Davis killed Pakistani civilians in broad daylight. He was a CIA agent and not a diplomat under diplomatic immunity but our brave Government comprising President Zardari, PM Gillani, Army Chief Gen Kayani bowed down against American pressure, Reymond Davis was released and flown away under the arrangements of security agencies. Pakistan, a nuclear power and with 5th largest Army, strong Air Force and Navy just could not take the American pressure and allowed Reymond Davis, a murderer of innocent Pakistani civilian to leave the country leaving behind another black spot on the integrity and esteem of a nation.
Nations don’t stand to challenges with large military or nuclear power, they stand with sense of honour, will power and strong belief.
It is a difference of Pakistani and Singaporean leadership, it’s a difference of honour and insult. It’s a difference of integrity and indignity
