My Lecture and Experience at Civil Services Academy Lahore.

Like many others I was quite inspired by Civil Services since childhood. The fascinating stories how candidates are selected through the toughest competition in the country for Civil Services Academy. The authority, respect, privileges attached to Civil Services with the scope of governing & ruling the country carry its own charisma.

It was 25 Jan 2017 morning when I started my travel for Civil Services Academy Walton Lahore. It was heavy rain and hail storm during the drive. I enjoyed the weather and entered the prestigious institution of Civil Services Academy to find the students standing on the stairs of complex to enjoy the weather. I was escorted to the auditorium hall, close to hall I heard the singing voices coming out of hall. 250 Students coming from diverse  background of Masters, PhDs, MBBS, Engineers, Harvard, Oxford and different parts of rural & urban origin with prominent female presence were enjoying the weather by singing together, it was a very pleasant sight. Best learning comes under happiness and I could see the happiness on the corridors, walls, rooms, offices, lawns and dining area.250 Students belong to 44 course of Civil Services Academy and they serve 12 cadres of Civil Services including police, foreign service, district administration, customs, Tax, Information service and Finance. The entire class was in a very happy mood to enjoy the weather. Here I was standing between the class and weather with a presentation ” Impact of Social Media and Digital Information – Challenges and Solutions with a special focus on governance”. My first task was to catch their attention with interesting presentation which could add to pleasant mood of audience, I think I managed to accomplish it in next one hour with interesting statistics, Images, videos, cutting edge quotes and interactive audience.

A delicious lunch with the students and staff was the last activity.

Some of the most brilliant brains who start their career from Civil Services Academy as their first learning step, how they can carry on with their brilliance and vision to transform is a challenge  and opportunity both. 250 Students of Civil Services Academy are those who will join the foundation pillar of governance at various positions.

میرا سول سروسز اکیڈمی لاہور میں لیکچر دینے کا خوشگوار تجربہ

 ملک میں سول سروسز  کے سخت ترین مقابلے میں کس طرح  امید واروں کا انتخاب کیا جاتا ہے اس کی ہوش ربا کہانیاں سُن سُن کر  بہت سے لوگوں کی طرح میں بھی بچپن سے ہی سول سروسز سے بہت متاثر رہا ہوں۔سول سروسز کے ساتھ منسلک اختیار، توقیر اور مراعات کےعلاوہ حکمرانی اور حکومت کرنے کا سحر اپنی جگہ خیرہ کن ہے۔

یہ 25جنوری 2017ء کا دن تھا جب میں نے سول سروسز اکیڈمی والٹن لاہور جانے کے لئے سفر کا آغاز کیا۔جب میں سول سروسز اکیڈمی کے پُر وقار ادارے میں داخل ہوا اس وقت تیز بارش اور ژالہ باری نے موسم کو اور زیادہ خوشگوار کر دیا تھا۔میں نے دیکھا کہ سٹوڈنٹ سیڑھیوں پر کھڑے ہو کر موسم سے لطف اندوز ہو رہے تھے۔جب مجھے آڈیٹوریم ہال لے جایا جا رہا تھا تو میں نے ہال سے آنے والی مترنّم آوازیں سنیں۔مختلف شہری اور دیہاتی پس منظر رکھنے والے ڈھائی سو طلبہ جو ایم اے، پی ایچ ڈی، ایم بی بی ایس، انجنیئرنگ، ہاورڈ اور آکسفورڈ کی تعلیم سے آراستہ تھے گانے گا کر موسم سے لطف اندوز ہو رہے تھے۔یہ بڑا ہی دلکش منظر تھا۔بہترین مطالعہ کے لئے خوش کن ماحول بہت معاون ثابت ہوتا ہے اور مجھے راہداریوں، دیواروں، کمروں، دفاتر، سرسبز قطعات اور ڈائننگ ہال سےجھلکتی خوشی دکھائی دے رہی تھی۔پولیس، خارجہ سروس، ضلعی انتظامیہ، کسٹمز، ٹیکس، اطلاعات اور فنانس سمیت بارہ شعبوں میں خدمات انجام دینے والے 44ویں کورس کے شرکاء کی تعداد ڈھائی سو طلبہ و طالبات پرمشتمل ہے۔

تمام کلاس موسم کا لطف اٹھانے کے لئے بڑے خوشگوار موڈ میں تھی اور میں کلاس اور موسم کے درمیان حائل  “سوشل میڈیا اور ڈیجیٹل اطلاعات کا اثر۔حکمرانی پر خصوصی توجہ کے حوالے سے درپیش مشکلات اور ان کا حل” کے حوالے سے لیکچر دے رہا تھا۔ میرا پہلا کام تھا ایسی دلچسپ پریزنٹیشن دینا جو ان کے خوشگوار موڈ کو برقرار رکھتے ہوئے ان کی توجہ میری جانب مرکوز رکھ سکے۔میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ اگلے ایک گھنٹے میں دلچسپ اعدادو شمار، ویڈیوز، جدید اقتباسات اور باہمی میل جول سے میں اپنا مقصد حاصل کرنے میں کامیاب رہا۔آخر میں طلبہ و طالبات کے ساتھ مزیدار ظہرانہ اس سرگرمی کا  اختتامیہ تھا۔

بہت سے ذہین اور دانشمند جوسول سروسز اکیڈمی  سے ہی پہلے قدم کے طور پر اپنے  روزگار کی ابتدا کرتے ہیں ان کو اپنی ذہانت اور ارفع سوچ کو  برقرار رکھنے کے مشکل مراحل اور مواقع کا سامنا کرنا پڑتا ہے۔ کے ۔ یہ سول سروسز اکیڈمی کے وہ 250 طلبہ ہیں جو مختلف عہدوں پر فائز ہو کر حکمرانی کے بنیادی ستون کا حصہ بنیں گے۔
